Dress Code

Students are expected to come to school wearing clothing that is appropriate and conducive to learning. Our rules are based upon safety and good taste. Parents will be contacted and asked to bring a change of clothing if the student comes to school wearing a questionable garment. Please keep the following in mind when selecting school clothes for your child.

  • Tank tops, spaghetti straps and midriff-baring clothing are not allowed.
  • Short-shorts, tight shorts, or see-through items are not allowed.
  • Students may not wear make-up.
  • Bib overalls may be worn as long as the straps are fastened.
  • Clothing with slogans that endorse tobacco, drugs, alcohol and other controversial statements are not allowed.
  • Clothing that is aligned with any "gang" affiliation is not permitted.
  • Close-toed shoes must be worn at all time. For safety, do not wear sandals or jelly shoes.
  • Hats, caps, scarves, hoods and visors may only be worn outside the school buildings.
  • Trousers must be worn around the waist and secured with a belt if they are loose.

A lost and found rack is kept in the hallway near the Cafetorium. Any items not claimed are donated to charity on the day before winter and spring break and on the last day of school.

Please write your child's name in all jackets, sweaters, backpacks, raincoats, lunch boxes, and other items that are used at school.
